Maybe it was the Bobby Portis Jr. energy that was taking over.<\/p>\n<p>The name Joseph Morrison became legally attached to me in Batesville, Arkansas late one night in early February of \u201882. Some seventeen or eighteen years later, I knew I wanted to be a Chiropractor. Truthfully, apart from knowing that I loved the Chicago Cubs and Metallica, the only other thing I can honestly say today that I truly knew at that age was that I wanted to be a Chiropractor.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>My introduction to the Chiropractic profession was when I was fourteen or fifteen years old. My classmate\u2019s dad was (and still is) a Chiropractor in Batesville. I\u2019d go with my buddy to his dad\u2019s office so he could get adjusted before he played in high school basketball games. Just like with the high school basketball team, I was only an observer while my friend was being adjusted by his father. At some point, the similarities ended and I was asked if I wanted to participate in this getting adjusted thing. There weren\u2019t any physical issues that were bothering me at the time, but I accepted the offer anyway. It wasn\u2019t until my first day of Chiropractic college that I learned just how rare it is for a kid to be introduced to this profession without having to involve some kind of major health concern.<\/p>\n<p>More later.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Testing new site copy.
